Connecting Through Storytelling: Embracing Creative Freedom

I have been writing for a while now. Probably close to a decade. I’ve written under many different names and didn’t post anything for a while. Late last year, in 2023, I started to get that writing itch again after a long hiatus. I decided that I finally wanted to bring my growing list to life. I spent a long time writing a story that I lost passion for and put it in my archives. One day, though, I’ll bring it back out and show it to the world. But that day is not today.
I don’t have a passion to write for profit. I merely want to share my ideas with an audience. For me, writing and sharing my stories is a way to connect with other who share an interest with me. I’m more than excited to give life to my worlds and share them with others who love reading stories as much as I do.
Writing for myself offers freedoms career authors don’t have. In my opinion, sometimes career authors are put under so much pressure to keep up with trends and deadlines that the art of storytelling gets lost. It’s really a great opportunity to write on my own terms, without pressure and deadlines.
I plan on releasing ideas that I deem “Wattpad” worthy there and possibly sharing my better ideas here on the site, but seriously considering uploading them on Kindle Vella. This is still just a vague plan and not a definite thing. I’ll definitely update when I finally come to a decision on this idea.
If I do feel that I want to start releasing independently, I think I will begin with e-books, and, possibly move to paperbacks is there’re enough requests for them
However, e-books and paperbacks are something that I will consider in the future if I feel it wouldn’t be more trouble than it’s worth.
I’m excited to go on this journey with you all and I hope you enjoy my stories! Be on the lookout for Love Bytes, and I’ll see you guys next time!
