Love in the Mountains
My favorite vacation is a toss-up between two that are very significant to me.
The first one was a vacation I took with my boyfriend at the time (now husband) when we first started dating. We took a trip to the Catalina Mountains in Tucson, Arizona, and spent three days hiking, eating delicious food, and getting to know each other. It was the first trip we took with each other and was a preview of our future relationship. (Which is amazing, btw.)
We also went to Zion National Park for Thanksgiving one year. It was beautiful and we had a really great time. It was also the trip where my husband proposed to me. I remember it like it was yesterday. I really didn’t know I was being proposed to that night. I was in jeans, and a puffer jacket, my hair was in a claw clip and I had my glasses on. But it was still one of the most beautiful evenings under the stars.
Both of these vacations hold a special place in my heart for different reasons—one as the beginning of my journey with my husband and the other as the moment we decided to spend our lives together.
