Starstruck

As we approach the release date of Starstruck (8 days!) I wanted to introduce you all to our 2 main guys! A little taste into what you can expect when you read my debut novel.
Stick around to the end for an exciting preview into the story!
Miles Albrecht

Age: 29
Gender: Male
Sexuality: ??
Role: Protagonist
Description: Miles is a young man that has spent a lot of his life active. He’s not very tall, standing at only 5’9″, but that never stopped him from picking up women when the investigation called for it. He thinks his above average, muscular build helps alongside his mesmerizingly green eyes.
He can change his personality to match whatever role he needs to play and it makes him wonder if he even remembers who he truly is sometimes. Depending on which target you ask, since he doesn’t have any friends, he could be anything from a friendly “nice guy” to a degenerate bad-boy.
Lately he’s been feeling something he hasn’t felt in a really long time—loneliness. Something’s clicked in his brain and he realizes that he’s not sure who he is anymore—if he wants to continue this life he’s been living.. is it even worth it?
Kane Ellis

Age: 32
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Role: Male Lead
Description: Kane Ellis is the guy every guy wishes he was: hot, famous, rich, and successful with the ladies. He’s 6’1″, with hooded, gray eyes that pierce your soul, and a muscular build that convinces you that he can’t be real—there’s no way, he’s definitely some kind of god or at least a demi-god exiled to spend eternity among human-kind—he’s that kind of guy.
A lot has been happening lately: a new movie shoot, a problem or two in his personal life that he’d rather ignore than deal with right now, and a new assistant that he can’t seem to shake from his mind. Why does all of this have to happen now? Gosh, he just can’t wait to get back to LA and get back to his life. Just stick it out until production is over, right?
An Excerpt
Thanks for reading this far! Here’s an excerpt from chapter one of Starstruck. Hope you enjoy 🙂
…”You know why you’re here, Mr. Albrecht.” He doesn’t look up from what he’s working on. The goon to his right plops a thick manila folder on the desk in front of me.
I flip through the pages and pages of reports and pictures of my target, Kane Ellis, from Vince’s previous attempts before asking, “He’s a known playboy. Why not ask a woman to take the job?” I had been curious about this when he called and inquired about me taking the job.
Vince slams his pen down on the desk and finally looks up at me. His face bunches in annoyance. “Do you really think I haven’t tried?”
I sink back into my chair. Of course he has, they just haven’t gotten very far. I know he’s propositioned my female colleagues, but they won’t have anything to do with it—I think it has more to do with their self respect than anything.
According to the tabloids, Kane isn’t the type to keep women around longer than a few hours. Not that I’m interested in celebrity gossip, but when you’re in line at the grocery store and the magazine rack is right there, you tend to read whatever is on the front cover—and Kane is always on the front cover.
I hum before changing the subject, keeping my voice level. “What makes you think there’s even something for me to find?”
“There’s always something to find, Mr. Albrecht.” He pauses, letting the words settle. “Even if you have to look… creatively.”
