Grab your favorite iced coffee, pull up a chair, and let’s take a quick breather! Before we dive into the latest book updates and WIP news, here is a little peek into what’s currently fueling my desk, my mind, and my writing routine.
On My Desk:
I wear glasses and the occasional pair of contacts. I have noticed that my very, very poorly eyes tend to get dry during my nap run of writing.
I use the Visine dry eye relief, and it’s phenomenal. I only write about them now because I happened to use them an hour and a half into my admin time. Instant relief. Could keep going forever. Do recommend for my folks out there who wish they could wake up every morning and just see. (-8.00 on either side, btw. 😭)
What I Read:
I’m still going strong on my run of BL manhwas. But occasionally, I do sit down with my Kindle before bed.
Currently, I am working through the Power Play series by Chris Savage.
When it comes to reading, I’m not picky about things like grammar and spelling. I grew up reading works from 14-year-old girls who left, “Please ignore any mistakes. English isn’t my first language,” notes. And that’s the way I like it! LOL.
This series may not be everyone’s cup of tea, as it can get a little repetitive, but the characters are interesting and the plot is intriguing, so I bought the whole series.
In preparation for season 3, though, I think I may take a break and read more ahead on the Apothecary Diaries. I believe I stopped half-way through Light Novel Volume 7. I’m excited! Can’t wait to see what I’ve read in anime form!
Background Noise:
I’ve started listening to CreepCast lately. I actually prefer listening to it on YouTube instead of Spotify because I can minimize it in the corner of my Google Doc and actually see the images Hunter and Isaiah refer to instead of using my imagination. LOL. If you needed any more evidence that I’m a dork, here you go!
I’ve also been watching Wendigoon’s (Isaiah) iceberg videos. I’ve always been a sucker for those videos that are hours long, so waiting on him to get through the rest of the cryptid iceberg so that he can make one long video is grating for me.
Long videos are also why I like Billiam, but I’ll talk about him later. XD
